The Matthew M. Williams x Nike MMW4 “Black” is an abstract low-top shoe created in collaboration between the high fashion designer and Nike. The picture of outside-the-box sneaker creativity, the Matthew M. Williams-designed Nike MMW4 displays a future-forward design aesthetic that includes a robotic-looking sole. The upper, while not of the ordinary when compared to most Nike shoes, is more traditional with a black mesh construction. A glossy black synthetic cut-out on both sides reveals a plush tonal woven fabric. Mostly devoid of branding, a lone tonal Swoosh appears on the lateral side of the black synthetic heel counter. Underfoot, the shoe’s exaggerated black sole unit features Zoom Air in the forefoot. Release date: Spring 2021.
